Adult fossil strengthens evidence for Homo erectus in southern Africa 2 million years ago

Scientists have identified a second Homo erectus skull fragment at the Drimolen Main Quarry in South Africa, confirming the species appeared there 2.0 million years ago. That is 200,000 years earlier than researchers previously believed.
