Execution of US murderer Christa Pike halted an hour before it was due to happen

Christa Pike’s execution was stopped on Wednesday just one hour before she was due to die. The 50-year-old Tennessee inmate was convicted and sentenced to death in 1996 for the murder of Colleen Slemmer.
