'Ship buster' missiles sink old US warship in live fire training off Scotland

A decommissioned American frigate has been destroyed in a joint live-fire exercise off Scotland’s west coast. The USS Klakring was hit by missiles and a torpedo about 170 miles off the Outer Hebrides during Exercise Atlantic Thunder 2026.
