Anthropic releases Claude Sonnet 5.5 with faster output and lower task costs

Anthropic has released Claude Sonnet 5.5, the second model in its Claude 5.5 family. The company says the new model runs more than 30 percent faster than Claude Sonnet 5 and can cost up to 30 percent less per task for most work.
