Will a switch to light speed cut power use at data centres?

A typical 100-megawatt data centre uses roughly 400 tonnes of copper, and up to 70 tonnes of that sits inside the computer servers themselves. Another 20 tonnes is consumed by the network wiring that connects those servers.
