About Agyata
What we build
Agyata is two small products in one web app: an anonymous confession feed where people share things they cannot say aloud, and random 1:1 chat — text or video — with strangers. Neither requires an account. Neither keeps a transcript.
Why we build it this way
Most platforms reward identity, history, and engagement streaks. Anonymity gets pushed to the edges. We thought it was worth building something that treats anonymity as the feature, not a nuisance — fewer locked-in accounts, fewer dark patterns, no follower count.
How we pay for it
Core features are free and will stay free. At launch the feed and queue-wait screens may show ads to cover hosting (Cloudflare). A future optional Agyata+ subscription removes ads and unlocks soft pairing preferences. We do not sell user data — we do not have user data worth selling.
How small is the team
Small. A single engineer writing product code, paired with an anonymous-by-design infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, D1). No VC, no investor pressure to grow at any cost — which is the only reason the safety defaults can be this strict.
