Report an error

Email ops@agyata.com with "Correction" in the subject line. Include the link to the story (for example agyata.com/news/ followed by the story name), the sentence or figure that is wrong, and a link to a source that shows the correct fact. You can also use the Contact page at /contact.

What we correct

Factual errors in headlines, names, numbers, dates, places and quotes. Misattributed claims. Broken or wrong source links. Missing context that changes what a story means. Opinions and style are not corrections, but we read every message.

How quickly we act

We fix confirmed factual errors as fast as we can, prioritising headlines and figures. If a story is wrong in a way that cannot be fixed by editing, we take it down and say so.

How corrections appear

We do not silently rewrite facts. We correct a published story in place and its last-updated time changes. When the correction is material, the thread under the story (timestamped updates, newest first) records what changed and when. A story that cannot be made accurate is taken down. A minor typo fix may be made without a thread entry.

Updates are not corrections

Stories grow as events develop, and each new development is added as an update to the same thread. An update is not a correction. A correction changes a statement that was wrong when it was published.
