Editorial policy

Scope

Our core beats are finance, markets, business and technology. Stories in the other categories on Agyata (for example world affairs, politics, science and health) are held to the same standards set out on this page.

How stories are gathered

Stories start from published articles from named news outlets, public RSS feeds and news search. We favour recent coverage: each story carries the date of its newest development, and only stories published in the last 48 hours are listed in our Google News feed. Every story must cite at least one real, named source before it is published. Where several outlets cover the same event, we merge them into one story thread and show every outlet we used, instead of publishing duplicates.

AI-assisted summaries and how we label them

Headlines and short summaries may be written by machine (AI models), generated from the sources we cite. They follow our written editorial charter: state only facts that appear in the cited sources, attribute claims to the people or organisations who made them, and skip a story we cannot verify. Because the sources are shown on every story, you can check each claim against the original reporting.
Images are used only when they are licensed for reuse. Each image shows its licence, its credit and a link to the source page.

Verification

Before a story is published it must be something we can state as verified fact with a real source. Numbers, dates and names come from the cited articles, not from assumption. When a source is later found to be wrong, we correct the story as described on our Corrections page.

What we do not publish

We do not give personalised investment or financial advice, and we do not publish stock tips, buy or sell recommendations or price targets. We do not publish unverified claims, rumour or "sources say" reports without a named source, sensational or clickbait framing, or opinion presented as news. We do not publish content that exists only to sell a product.

Independence and sponsored content

Advertisers do not buy editorial coverage, and sponsors cannot change what we report. Sponsored stories and sponsor cards are labelled "Sponsored", are kept visibly separate from editorial stories, and never appear as news. Advertising formats and how to book them are on our Advertise page.
