NANDYAL’S CATCH THE RAIN CAMPAIGN MENTIONED IN PM MODI’S MANN KI BAAT

Prime Minister Narendra Modi cited Nandyal district’s ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign in his Mann ki Baat address on July 26. The campaign, led by the district administration, has restored 251 minor irrigation tanks and desilted 2,691 km of feeder and supply channels. Additionally, over 2,103 water conservation works and thousands of rainwater harvesting structures have been revived under the initiative. The campaign aims to strengthen water conservation efforts in Andhra Pradesh’s Nandyal district.
