Nigeria Approves Largest Military Expansion in Recent Times

Nigeria's president has approved the country's largest military expansion in recent times, recruiting 28,000 extra soldiers and creating four new army divisions. The move is aimed at tackling the country's security challenges, including attacks by armed groups on civilians. The government is under intense pressure to curb the violence, and this expansion is seen as a major step in that direction.
