Will Anthropic pull off a November IPO? Time is running out to file key paperwork.

Anthropic is running out of time to publicly file the prospectus needed for its reported mid-November initial public offering. The maker of the Claude chatbot is seeking a valuation of as much as two trillion dollars, which would surpass SpaceX’s one point seven trillion dollar debut earlier this year. Under Securities and Exchange Commission rules, a company must file its S-1 document at least fifteen days before launching an investor roadshow. Experts say Anthropic could still list before Thanksgiving if it files by late next week, but the timing remains uncertain. Market pressures, including persistent inflation and recent declines in AI-related stocks, could push the company to delay its debut. Anthropic reportedly needs the capital, with draft filings showing a net loss of more than eighty billion dollars in the first half of twenty-six against revenue of sixteen point three billion. Prediction markets currently put an eighty percent chance on the company going public by the end of the year.
