Oman has presented a proposal to Iran on managing the Strait of Hormuz, including collecting voluntary fees for using the strait. The proposal is backed by Gulf states and aims to end the disruption to trade caused by the US-Israeli war on Iran. According to sources, the proposal has been met with skepticism by Iran, which has rejected the idea of tolls or fees for using the strait. The proposal is a significant development in the ongoing tensions between Iran and the Gulf states, with several countries expressing concern over the impact of the war on regional trade.
