US Government orders immediate removal of DeepSeek AI software

The US government has issued a directive requiring civilian federal departments to immediately remove DeepSeek AI software and any affiliated services from their technology systems. The Department of Homeland Security cited security concerns regarding the Chinese-developed large language model as the primary driver for the order. Under the new rules, federal departments are prohibited from purchasing further DeepSeek products. Military and intelligence organizations are excluded from this specific directive as they operate under separate security protocols.
