UP Govt Reconstitutes SIT in Ram Temple Donation Theft Case

The Uttar Pradesh government has reconstituted the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the alleged theft of cash donations at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, appointing inspector general (Lucknow range) Kiran S to head the fresh three-member panel. The move comes after the Supreme Court directed the state government to reconstitute the SIT. The new SIT is expected to submit its first progress report to the apex court on July 27. The reconstitution of the SIT has been seen as a significant development in the case, which has been ongoing for several months.
