A South Carolina mother is speaking out after her 6-year-old daughter brought home an artificial intelligence image showing the child as a 25-year-old nurse. Nikki Anderson found the computer-made picture in her daughter Harper’s Friday folder on October 16, alongside the girl’s own construction-paper drawing of her future career. The AI image gave Harper sleek, wavy hair and a nurse’s uniform, details her handmade artwork did not include. Anderson said the school consent form she signed covered media use but never mentioned AI. The Charleston County School District said the principal ordered similar assignments stopped and that districtwide AI literacy training for educators will launch in the coming weeks.
