Netflix will show you themed recommendations through a new ‘AI Discover’ tab
Netflix is rolling out an experimental AI Discover tab in its TV app that offers themed show and movie recommendations.
Key points
- Netflix's AI Discover tab offers themed recommendations, starting with themes such as “Something Light” and “Quick Watches”.
- Users can tell Netflix when they dislike a recommendation, and the app will remember that feedback.
- The tab is gradually rolling out in the US to English-language members on supported TVs.
Why it matters. The rollout signals Netflix's push to use AI to keep viewers finding content, coming after the company recently laid off around 1,000 employees as growth has slowed.
