Vedanta Power reports ₹1,844 crore revenue in Q1 FY27 as power sales rise 38%

Vedanta Power reported a 38% year-on-year increase in power sales and ₹1,844 crore revenue in the first quarter of FY27, driven by improved generation across its key assets. However, the company posted a standalone loss of ₹449 crore and a consolidated loss of ₹423 crore, compared to profits in the same period last year. The results mark Vedanta Power’s first quarterly earnings as a separately listed company. Management reaffirmed long-term expansion plans despite the losses, attributing the shortfall to higher input costs and lower tariffs in some markets. The company operates thermal power plants in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Odisha.
